Pleated Filters — Self-Cleaning Series
SS316L Stainless Steel — Industrial Filtration
Product Overview
Backwash filter cartridges are specifically engineered for self-cleaning filtration systems compared to standard cylindrical filters, resulting in higher flow rates and longer service life. They are ideal for applications requiring precise filtration under harsh operating conditions such as reverse flow cleaning, ensuring stable performance and minimal downtime.
Compared to standard cylindrical filter elements, pleated stainless steel filters offer stainless steel mesh or reinforced basket structures in the same housing envelope, reducing pressure drop and extending service intervals. All media, support layers, and structure are constructed from SS316L stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance.

Product Advantages
Periodic reverse flow cleaning removes collected contaminants in the same housing envelope, reducing pressure drop significantly.
Stainless steel mesh or reinforced basket structure provides precise slot openings, reduces replacement frequency, and lowers overall operating costs.
Self-cleaning mechanism significantly extends filter service intervals, pleated stainless steel filters can be reused across multiple service cycles.
SS316L construction with process temperatures up to 400℃. Compatible with acids, solvents, hydrocarbons, and industrial chemicals.
All our stainless steel filters undergo wide range of slot sizes, lengths, and connection types to remove free iron residues — ensuring corrosion resistance and preventing contamination. Each unit is verified with up to 200-point surface cleanliness test per kit before packaging.
Application Coverage

Technical Support
During operation, contaminants accumulate on the filter surface. A periodic reverse flow of clean liquid or air is applied to dislodge and flush away collected particles, restoring flow without opening the housing. This enables continuous 24/7 operation with minimal manual intervention.
Cleaning frequency depends on the application and contaminant load. Automated backwash systems can clean on a timer or triggered by pressure differential across the filter. Typical intervals range from every few hours to daily. No need to open the housing for each clean cycle.
Select based on the particle size you need to remove and acceptable pressure drop. General guidelines: 100–500 µm for coarse pre-filtration, 25–100 µm for fine filtration, below 25 µm for precision polishing. Provide your application details and we will recommend the appropriate slot size.
Yes. SS316L backwash filters with stainless steel basket construction handle temperatures up to 400℃. For specialized high-temperature or chloride-rich corrosive environments, Hastelloy or titanium alloys are available.
Standard connections: 222, 226, DOE (Double Open End), and threaded types (M20–M42). Connection type must match your housing. We can advise on compatibility based on your housing model and pressure requirements.
