Stainless Steel Basket & Tube Filters for Mining Machinery Industry
Hydraulic excavators & electric shovels, crushers and ball mills, flotation slurry, tailings transfer, mine dewatering, coal washing, mineral processing — engineered in 316L, Duplex 2205, 904L and Hastelloy C-276 to survive abrasive slurry and acidic mine water.

Industry Characteristics
Why Mining Demands Heavy-Duty Wedge Wire Filtration
Mining machinery runs in some of the most punishing service in industry — abrasive ore slurry, sandy mine water, heavy mechanical vibration on excavators and ball mills, and remote sites where supply-chain delays make every filter change-out expensive. Baskets and tube filters do the heavy lifting, protecting hydraulic pumps, crusher bearings, slurry pumps and dewatering systems with all-metal construction that survives where polymer media cannot.
Abrasive Mineral Slurry
Iron, copper, gold, bauxite and coal slurries demand wedge wire for anti-blinding and abrasion resistance.
High-Pressure Hydraulics
Excavators, shovels and roadheaders — continuous high-pressure service with frequent pulse loading.
Severe Vibration
Ball mills, crushers and shovel arms generate extreme vibration — fully-welded construction is mandatory.
Sandy Mine Water
Dewatering and washing handle high silt and coal mud — perforated plate baskets resist plugging.
Acidic Mine Drainage
AMD and leach circuits require 904L, Duplex 2205 or Hastelloy depending on chemistry.
Remote Site Logistics
Long supply lead times reward long-life filters with simple field cleaning.

Customer Concerns
Top 5 Questions from Mining Customers
1. Why use wedge wire instead of woven mesh for mining slurry?
add
Mineral slurry — flotation feed, tailings, coal wash water — carries very high solid concentrations of abrasive ore particles. Woven mesh blinds quickly and erodes. Wedge wire profile resists blinding (V-shape clears solids), delivers far higher dirt-holding and resists abrasion. SINFT 316L wedge wire baskets at 500–5000 µm are field-proven on iron, copper, gold, bauxite and coal slurry.
2. How do we protect ball mill and crusher lube oil from metal contamination?
add
Ball mills, cone crushers and gyratory crushers generate constant metal wear that contaminates lube oil. SINFT 316L woven mesh tube filters at 50–200 µm intercept this debris upstream of lube pumps and gearbox feeds — protecting million-dollar mainshafts, bearings and gears.
3. What’s the right basket size for tailings and dewatering pumps?
add
Tailings pumps and mine dewatering pumps run very high flow with very high solid loading. SINFT delivers DN300–DN1000 wedge wire and perforated baskets at 1000–5000 µm. For underground dewatering with sandy water, 316L perforated plate construction gives the maximum dirt-holding capacity per element.
4. Which material do I select for acidic mine water and SX/EW circuits?
add
Acidic mine drainage (AMD) and solvent extraction / electrowinning (SX/EW) circuits are aggressive. 316L is the cost-effective default. 904L delivers higher acid resistance for sulfuric acid leaching. Duplex 2205 is preferred for high-chloride slurry. For severe service — chloride leaching of nickel laterite, gold cyanidation with high salts — Hastelloy C-276 provides maximum resistance.
5. Can SINFT basket filters be cleaned easily in remote mine sites?
add
Yes — all SINFT basket and tube filters are fully-welded all-metal construction with no fasteners to lose. They are cleanable by backwash, ultrasonic or simple high-pressure water spray. For continuous operations, duplex housing configurations allow online switchover (one basket cleaning, one in service) — eliminating production stoppage at remote mines.
