Basket & Tube Filters — Prefiltration Series
SS316L Stainless Steel — Industrial Filtration
Product Overview
Basket and tube filters use a perforated cylindrical core wrapped with precision SS316L stainless steel mesh compared to standard cylindrical filters, resulting in higher flow rates and longer service life. They are ideal for applications requiring precise filtration under harsh operating conditions such as prefiltration and bulk solid removal.
Compared to standard cylindrical filter elements, pleated stainless steel filters offer 3–5× the effective filtration area in the same housing envelope, reducing pressure drop and extending service intervals. All media, support layers, and structure are constructed from SS316L stainless steel construction handles high flow rates with low pressure drop, protecting downstream fine filtration elements.

Product Advantages
3–5× the effective filtration area of standard cylindrical filters in the same housing envelope, reducing pressure drop significantly.
Optimized open area ratio ensures minimal pressure loss while maintaining effective particle retention, reduces replacement frequency, and lowers overall operating costs.
Acts as a first-stage filter to protect expensive fine filtration elements downstream, extending their service life, pleated stainless steel filters can be reused across multiple service cycles.
SS316L construction with operating range from -268℃ to +371℃. Compatible with acids, solvents, hydrocarbons, and industrial chemicals.
All our stainless steel filters undergo custom sizes, slot sizes, and connection types to match any housing or application requirement to remove free iron residues — ensuring corrosion resistance and preventing contamination. Each unit is verified with up to 200-point surface cleanliness test per kit before packaging.
Application Coverage
Prefiltration for fine filters, intake screens, sludge dewatering, and polymer production lines requiring precise particle removal under high-temperature conditions.

Technical Support
A basket filter uses a perforated stainless steel cylindrical core wrapped with precision SS316L stainless steel mesh. Fluid passes through the mesh, which traps particles larger than the mesh opening, while the perforated core provides structural support and maximum open area for high flow rates.
Standard mesh slot sizes range from 25 um to 3 mm. Custom sizes are available for specialized applications. We recommend selecting a size that captures your target particles while minimizing pressure drop.
Basket filters handle differential pressures up to 25 bar depending on the element diameter, length, and mesh/wire configuration. The perforated core provides robust mechanical support for demanding industrial applications.
Yes. Basket filters are widely used as first-stage prefilters to protect expensive fine filtration elements (such as pleated cartridges or sintered filters) downstream. By removing bulk solids first, they significantly extend the service life of downstream filters and reduce overall operating costs.
Yes. Basket filters are designed for repeated cleaning and reuse. Common cleaning methods include backwash with water or compatible solvents, air blowing, and ultrasonic cleaning for stubborn deposits. SS316L construction ensures durability across multiple cleaning cycles.
Initial samples: 48-72 hours after drawing confirmation for standard custom configurations. Non-standard diameters, custom slot sizes, or special connection types: typically 5-7 days. No minimum order quantity for prototype samples.
